I do believe this is one (of multitudes) of your most wonderful posts, so intricately woven around this little creature. By meditating on its body, you open the reader to its magnificence. So lovely. And the photos are so lovely too. Isn’t there a nature mag you could send this to?

What a lovely meditation–where the particulars, including the
photographs, become a celebration of life. (I think of Elizabeth Bishop and Marianne Moore.) And that life includes the life of the
reflected photographer in the last ‘nature morte’.
