The Blizzard and the Dog Walk

The dog must out.

Neither snow nor rain nor sleet nor gloom of night stays the dog and his walker from their appointed rounds.

We went out this morning around 8:30.

Inside the park, we spot a handful of sledders.image3.JPG

Deep inside my beautiful retaining wall, the raccoons are nestled all snug in their beds.image4.JPG

The windblown dog is happy in the park (though he may not look it here).image2.JPG

But where is everyone?

Back at home, snow, snow and snow.

Like Sandy, I enjoyed this opportunity for forced relaxation. And thankfully this time no power loss. I appreciate when Nature says, “Time to stop. No excuses.”

I bet it was strangely quiet with all that snow and people staying inside.

Lovely. Love RSD, dogs walking in an NYC weekend blizzard. Off to walk my two, and then wait for A Prairie Home Companion.

    Love this! Thanks for posting!

  5. Gorgeous! We have about two feet so far in our neighborhood in DC. One of our dogs is loving it, the other not so much :)
